Solar Bag – Solar Charge Anywhere.. Anytime!

Solar Bag

Each Solar Bag consists of four main components: bag + solar cell panel/s + battery charge pack + adapters. Most bags even come with a rain cover built into a zipped compartment at the bottom of the solar bag.

The Solar Bag can recharge most small electronic devices including: cell phones, cameras, PDA’s, GPS, PSP games player and MP3s. Note: Only our high capacity battery charge packs (8800mAh) are suited to charging Laptops up to 20V.

The solar bag’s/backpacks are made to high quality and each model of solar bag or backpack we have to offer is designed for comfort, practicality and durability.

Keep up with the pace of technology, these solar bag’s are essential for your busy lifestyle.

How the Solar Bag works

Each Solar Bag come’s with a battery pack, conveniently stored in one of the many internal compartments of the Solar Bag. The battery pack can be recharged using the solar panels on the bag. A 1m long spring cable connected to the solar panels has a mini USB adapter on the output end, this end plugs into the battery pack for charging. You can then transfer the power stored in the battery pack (or even whilst it’s being charged) to your devices using the USB cable, which has a universal output adapter that each of the device adapter can attach to. Simply choose the adapter to suit and plug into your device. See image below.

For optimum charging the solar cells on the Solar Bag should be angled and directed towards the sun. Alternatively for your convenience, the battery pack can also be charged via a USB AC wall charger, USB DC car charger or even via the USB port on your laptop or PC! The battery pack simply stores the power until you need it!

Solar Bag durability

Durability and quality is our main focus. We have an independent inspection contractor undertake inspections of every bag we have the factory make, EVERY single one. Each inspection is meticulous and documented, any solar bag/backpack that does not comply with our strict standards are rejected.

The main materials for each Solar Bag / Backpack are noted with each item on the online shop.
The economical Solar Bag’s are made from 600D polyester with a waterproof coating, this strong material is ideal for use in your everyday backpacks.
The next material we use is 1680D Nylon this is waterproof and is much more durable suited to tramping, bicycle and motor cycle riders, camping and in our view great for laptop bags.
The third material used is 600×600D ripstop polyurethane. This material is lite, waterproof, strong and agile, the traits required in tramping and backpacking packs.

Battery Packs – Charge Your Devices on the Go!

Solar Bag Battery Packs

Do you find it annoying and inconvenient when your device goes flat while you’re out?

Our mobile battery packs are designed to keep your cell phone, digital camera, MP3 player, laptop and other electronic devices charged on the go. No longer do you need to wait around to charge your device, simply keep the battery charge pack topped up and it will keep your device charged during the day!

Our battery packs are about the size of an average cell phone! (8800mAH battery packs are about the size of 2 cell phones!) They weigh from 20g to 248g! Making these convenient to carry around with ease.

Ways To Charge Battery Packs

  • Plug the battery packs into a Solar Bag to solar-charge them (1700mAH, 2200mAH & 4400mAH packs only)
  • Plug the battery packs into a Mobi Solar V1 to solar-charge them (2200mAH pack only)
  • A wall charger
  • A car charger

How Battery Packs Work

Our battery packs store the energy ready for use when you need it. Once the battery pack has sufficient charge it can be plugged into your device using the correct adaptor – It’s as simple as that!

Example

If you have a cell phone with a 750mAH battery:
750mAH x 2 = 1500mAH – So the 1700mAH battery pack will comfortably keep your phone charged approximately 2 times

Solar System Educational Program – Using UDK

This is a quick fly through of ‘The Solar System’, an application I am currently working on. Please forgive the lack of audio, but there is no need for it until it comes time to add the audio into the application. Being that this is a ‘Work In Progress’, not everything you see will be final. Things are constantly being tweaked, updated, re-vamped or simply tossed to be replaced by another more efficient system. A more detailed description of this application can be found here at my personal web site. www.chrisalbeluhn.com Edit: a lot of people have commented about the scaling. As i said before this is just a work in progress so far, however there is a readout at the bottom of the screen. In the video when zooming in and out, you can see at the bottom of the screen the scales of the planets, moons and sun. There are options regarding scale and I’ll go through them in a later video, but just know that everything IS to scale, it is simply enlarged to make it much easier to see, otherwise you’d only see the planet when you’re completely zoomed in. However, if that’s what you want, the option exists to make it that as well.

Video is from Google video. Installing clean, reliable, inflation-proof solar power is easier than ever, thanks to the invention of thin-film photovoltaic (PV) laminates that can be bonded directly onto metal roofing panels. Unlike crystalline PV material, there’s no need for obtrusive racks and heavy, expensive glass. Instead, unbreakable thin-film PV is produced using amorphous silicon, encapsulated in Teflon and other polymers. www.uni-solar.com www.etaengineering.com www.mhi.co.jp www.bigfrogmountain.com
